NHS Norfolk Community Health and Care Trust leading the way.

Qolcom in partnership with HPE Aruba Networking have digitally transformed the Norfolk Community Health and Care Trust, modernising the network to include a full wireless refresh for 152 doctor’s surgeries and Health Centres in Norfolk and Waveney.

At the heart of the community is Norfolk Community Health and Care Trust. Patient experience is delivered by a team who believe care isn’t just about treatment but seeing every patient as a person. The Wi-Fi transformation has enabled healthcare professionals to unify patient data and deliver on their integrated central care community mandate.

More than 2,500 members of staff work at the NHS Trust. Over 80% of these are healthcare professionals, their daily record keeping, and community health monitoring is now available at a single dashboard view and shared across all pre-approved staff levels to deliver the optimum patient care.

Qolcom with HPE Aruba has modernised the network across all sites to drive efficiency, reduce hours lost looking for equipment, but moreover has accelerated integrated care plans for the 10,000 patients that use the services daily.

The transformation of Norfolk Community Health & Care Trust Wi-Fi has highlighted best in class integrated connected healthcare in the communities that it serves. The transformation has improved the patient and staff experience across the region, enabling better patient outcomes.

The Qolcom managed service included a full survey, design, deployment, project management, cabling and installation of all sites, enhanced by a 5- year support and managed services agreement. Single dashboard reporting is delivered within the service agreement via Qolcom Vision to monitor healthcare spaces in GP surgeries and community centres.

This innovative project has assisted in several centres within Norfolk being recognised as Digital Exemplars. A Digital Exemplar is an internationally recognised NHS provider delivering improvements in the quality of care, through the world- class use of digital technologies and information. Exemplars share their learning and experiences through the creation of blueprints to enable other trusts to follow in their footsteps as benchmark for best practice.
